i gotta say, i pride myself on my somewhat unhuman ability to be VERY level headed and sane. i mean, my ex boyfriend cheated on me and did i freak out? well, a little, but after it all, we have been able to mantain a friendship and i've even realized that we probably never should've dated in the first place and potentially ruin a wonderful friendship. (then again, i did meet and now have a MUCH more compatable boyfriend that treats me like gold, so that probably helps with the healing process.)
so that being said, i just don't understand people who purposely try to fuck with other people's lives. what is so wrong with YOU that you feel good about starting rumors, breaking people up, breaking people's hearts and in general being a coniving liar? i guess i can understand the revenge aspect of it, but sheesh, i mean that shit has to get exhausting. i'm currently going through this situation with certain exgirlfriend and as i previously stated, i am very level headed and sane, but imma freak right the fuck out if this shit keeps up. mark my words!
moving on, happy new years! i'm spending it without my bff and am very sad about that, but she's going to meet the new boyfriends parents so she has enough on her plate so i probably shouldn't make her feel bad about leaving me in Richmond. i'm find something to do. also, what is going on tonight? holla atcha girl!
ps. somebody teach me how to add links and pictures on this shit, cause otherwise it's gunna be a pretty cut and dry blog!

ahhh Christmas.
first, let me apologize for the teaster that i was indeed going to start posting blogs then totally didn't. my bad.
but, since i haven't posted in a while, i can actually catch you up on my ever exciting life. a couple days before christmas, my girls that i grew up with and myself had a sleep over at brandi's parents house (thanks david and marie). it was as fun as it usually is, only this time we just brought booze over and had a sleep over with just the girls instead of going to the bars. time and money well spent! it was especially nice to get everybody together because we are losing both celia AND lydia to the west coast. celia is going to go be an amazing yoga teacher (she does that crazy bekram yoga in like 110 degree rooms ((fuck that)). lydia is making the big move with her husband ryan and baby jake because ryan is in the navy. very sad to lose my buddies, but very happy to have a place to stay we i come visit!
my brother mason and his lovely girlfriend summer were also in town for the holidays. i love when they come visit. they have been living in brooklyn for the past 6 years and making quite a life for themselves up there. i'm a very proud little sister.
christmas has come and gone and not to sound like a spoiled little kid, but MAN did i clean up! aside from the usual christmas presents (sweaters, random book or two, socks) my money bags brother has decided that he is going to pay for the whole family to go to IRELAND in the spring! WHAT WHAAAAAAAAT?! i'm finally going to get a stamp in my passport!
in closing, you should check out Karen Dalton's album "'it's hard to tell who's going to love you the most." i'm pretty sure devandra banhart totally ripped off her style. good shit.
i promise i'll get on here more. sorry friends.

here goes...
well, i finally broke down and did it. i'm actually making a blog.
it's officially the holiday season and to me that means one thing. PARTIES. dressy parties, work parties, but mostly just the idea of people having parties gets me real excited. i like getting all dressed up and going to homes or for the most part, bars and hanging out with my equally dressy friends. it's nice and i guess it makes me feel like a grown up. plus this year i have a totally hot boyfriend to showcase in his dressy clothes as well. yay for me.
for anybody that doesn't know there is a totally awesome new show on the travel channel called "man vs. food". basically this guy travels around the country and takes on all the local food challenges. last week he was in texas and ate (i'm not even kidding here) a 72 ounce steak, a shrimp cocktail, baked potato, roll, and dinner salad. they give you an hour to do it and he did it in like 32 minutes. that shit is CRAZY.
well this is it for my first post. sorry, i know it was lame, but i have to go pick up my totally hot boyfriend from work cause he totally doesn't have a car.
